The
formal party held at the Hyatt Hotel in Valencia was a rousing success
and an incredible New Year's Eve Celebration for the 308 guests who
attended. A complete four-course dinner was served along with first
rate entertainment, a live band, casino games, dancing, and a chance to
win 28 wonderful and exciting raffle prizes valued at over
$13,000! According to the Signal, "It was a stunning evening in black,
white and silver." Charlotte Kleeman and her husband Frank attend
nearly all functions of this type in the Santa Clarita Valley and were
very impressed. Charlotte stated, "This is one of the nicest events we
have ever been to."
Famous comedienne, Kathy Buckley was the highlight of the dinner entertainment. Kathy
is a five-time American Comedy Award Nominee as Best Stand-Up Female
Comedienne, and the winner of countless other awards for her work. Her
television appearances include The Tonight Show, entertainment Tonight,
Extra, Inside Edition, CNN, HBO, VH1's Stand-Up Spotlight, Comic Strip
Live, Evening at the Improv, and Caroline's Comedy Hour. She was a
perfect compliment to the evening with her blend of humor mixed with
her message of hope and respect for people with disabilities. She ended
her comedy routine with a plea for understanding and acceptance for
people with disabilities, emphasizing that they deserve just as much
respect and consideration as anyone else.
