Volunteer Opportunities
July VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Linda Adams
Congratulations to Linda Adams who is our July Volunteer of the Month.
Linda retired from teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District
recently and wanted to spend some more time volunteering with
LETMESAIL and other organizations. She is the author of our monthly
articles that appear in the Magazine of Santa Clarita and does a great job of highlighting the upcoming activities of
LETMESAIL. Linda has also stopped by the office on many occasions and
helped out with numerous tasks such as mailing, making phone calls, answering phones and other various tasks at the office. She serves on the planning committee
for the Evening of Inspiration and will be spending a week as a chaperone with the LETMESAIL High Sierra Camping Experience this coming August 13-20 at Mammoth Lakes, California.
For all she does to improve the programs for the clients of our organization, LETMESAIL proudly salutes Linda Adams!
June VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Suzanne Vanvakaris
LETMESAIL is thrilled to award the June 2008 Volunteer of the Month Award to Suzanne Vanvakaris. Suzanne has been involved in all areas of LETMESAIL’s program planning, fundraising, and organizational operations since its inception. She is the Secretary of the Board of Directors; the Chairman of the Lifestyle Enrichment Activities Committee; and a member of the New Year’s Eve Bon Voyage Ball Committee. She has worked closely with our Program Director and has created flyers, monthly activity calendars, updated the web site, helped with mailings, and assisted in all aspects of program planning. In addition, her meticulous attention to detail has been invaluable in helping Gary and Maureen Spindt proof grant proposals, marketing materials, newsletters, etc. Suzanne’s enthusiasm, energy, and dedication to enriching the lives of our clients is evident in all she does. LETMESAIL would simply not have achieved the rapid growth and success that we have without Suzanne’s hard work and passion! We are truly blessed for all of her contributions to LETMESAIL! Congratulations Suzanne!
May VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Jessica Pease
The May 2008 Volunteer of the Month is proudly awarded to Jessica Pease. Jessica has been a LETMESAIL Volunteer from the very beginning of the organization. She has volunteered for virtually hundreds of activities in that time. She is always helpful, kind, and caring, encouraging our clients with her infectious smile. Jessica also serves on the Lifestyle Activities Committee and the New Year's Eve BON VOYAGE BALL Planning Committee. She plans the very popular "Fear Factor" client activity. Congratulations Jessica!
April VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Barbara Barini
Our first Volunteer of the Month Award goes to none other than Barbara Barini. LETMESAIL can never truly thank Barbara for the many hours of time she has spent chaperoning our many activities. Whether it is participating as “Paula” while being a judge of the American Idol event, dancing with the clients at the New Year’s Eve Ball, being chased by the chainsaw bandit at Scary Movie Night, or dealing 21 at the Viva Las Vegas night, Barbara always smiles and encourages our clients to do their best and have a great time. For the hours and hours of happiness she has brought to our clients, LETMESAIL congratulates Barbara Barini on being our April 2008 Volunteer of the Month!

LETMESAIL is supported by numerous dedicated volunteers. We suggest that volunteers be a minimum age of 14 years old, unless directly supervised by a parent. Volunteer opportunities include:
